Did you have a hatching of baby shrimp–as viewed through the microscope?
Hmm…. close. Same all the way down to the Class (Malacostraca) but in many ways very different from the Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentata) out of the aquarium. This one is also from Japan, but was found in a grab of Blue Mussels (Mytilus edulis) we used for a particle clearing rate experiment. An invasive species…
