Thanks Kevin!

Valid point Chuck, but please try not to insult the host at the same time. "It's" vs "its" is arguable one of the most common grammatical errors in modern English. Proper comma usage and "it's" vs. "its" are the two issues most pressing to address in my writing, and I am working on them. Then again, this is my free form writing joint – where I get to write without being graded, where I write mostly for me. Most of my blog writing is essentially unedited. I would edit heavier here, but then I would get even less posted up, since my first commitment is to getting my writing done for my degree, publications, and getting on to graduate school.

Please, please, please! Stop using "it's" where you should use "its". You seem like an intelligent person. If only you can remember fourth grade grammar. Every time you write "it's" read the sentence you are going to use it in and say "it is" and "it has" wherever you've used "it's". If the sentence no longer makes sense, omit the apostrophe and use "its".
