This is a picture of my grandmother when she was in her 20s. She died last Saturday. She would have been 96 at the end of February. Wherever my family moved, she was always the first person from whom I got mail. Quite often I would have a letter from her waiting for me when I got there. She kept me anchored. She was one of the best grandmothers ever. Johann is her youngest great-grandchild. She will be missed.

We are truly sorry for your loss. We know from your past comments how much you liked and enjoyed your grandmother. I look at this wonderful photograph and see your eyes in hers.
