Sorry about the lack of updates…things have been a bit crazy around here lately.
Finally everything is off to Texas for the Show at the 1550 Gallery. We ended up sending 22 items, mostly scarves but also some bags and a pair of indigo shibori pants as well. When I wasn’t working on the show there was (is) school and then spending time with Johann. September is literally a blur. One festival, multiple trips to see parts of the whale trail, science experiments, just for fun outings, school, the show, giving Tammy time to sew…I didn’t get more than about 4 hours of sleep on any given night.
I think I’m going to sleep for a week!
Didn’t have much time for photography either, but luckily on Fridy I caught a few (almost 40!) herons and egrets gathered around a swampy pond during a break in the rain. Best of all there were three black crowned night herons!

Three scarves recently completed.
Did I ever mention I love Indigo???
All three of these were dyed from the same pot of indigo. I really love the full range of blues (and even a purple sheened navy blue) that can be gotten from indigo. No wonder the Japanese language has so many specific names for shdes of indigo produced blue.
Got some more time away from scarves, to play with Drupal. I have two seperate installations, one of DrupalEd and one of Drupal 4.4.2. I am playing with the various modules and configuration options to try and find the feature set I like best. Installation of Drupal is exceedingly simple. Configuration is not hard, but there are many options and it does take a bit of time, playing with it, and reading the manuals and online forums to get comfortable with it.
So far I have spent about six hours on it and have one of the internal sites set up with about 90% of the features of MT3 or this MT installation. Drupal also has complex taxonomies, forums, multi-page story, file vault and online collaboration features. The more I play the more I like! Soon (after 4.5 is released) Drupal will be replacing the MT installation here and on Family Updates.
