What’s the matter? Got a banana in your ear?

We spent Christmas and New Year’s in with my in-laws. I struggled with my allergies the whole time and had a lot of drainage in my ears. Usually, I have better than normal hearing, but because of the liquid in my ears, I was mishearing a lot of words. The further we were into the two week visit, the worse it got. It was a very frustrating situation for me to have to constantly ask for things to be repeated and then still not always get it. I knew I should have watched The Dukes of Hazard regularly when it was on!
CMT is looking for someone to fill the “vaunted position” of “Vice President, CMT Dukes of Hazzard Institute” with a salary of $100,000. Job responsibilities include:

* know the words to The Dukes of Hazzard theme song, “Good Ol’ Boys,” written and performed on the series by the legendary Waylon Jennings;
* serve as media expert on The Dukes of Hazzard for the CMT Dukes of Hazzard Institute: must be available for TV, radio and newspaper interviews to share passion for The Dukes of Hazzard on CMT;
* write the CMT Dukes of Hazzard Institute online blog for cmt.com;
* be passionate about The Dukes of Hazzard on CMT;
* make appearances at special events such as Dukesfest 2005 in Bristol, Tenn., (June 4-5, 2005).

Anyone got an mp3 of the theme? Maybe a bootleg tape from one of the picnics in Luckenbach?

Oh and Steve, we gotta talk…

Memories of Texas

Dreaming of Spring

I finally had a chance (and remembered to Get It Done) to develop some shots from our visit to this past fall. I figured it’s the perfect night to post this, especially given the situation outside… 12+ hours of steady, heavy snowfall.

It’s both at flickr and in the Eclectic Images Wildlife Gallery here. In the Wildlife Gallery I actually uploaded it so that the 1600×1280 version is available.
